ONLY NATURE / SAMO NARAVA
by Davorin Tome
Robert Turk from Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Nature Conservation (IRSNC) from Piran and Andrej Sovinc from Sečovlje Salina Nature Park will lead the discussion with author Davorin Tome, before exhibitions grand opening. What is the role of humans in nature, will nature survive, what is the unspoiled nature, or will be nature preserved only in the natural parks ... are subsequent topics of discussion.
Davorin Tome about his photographic shooting says, "Above all I especially take nature snaps. Landscapes, plants, animals. The pictures I am looking for must be dynamic and that is not lacking in nature. Dynamics in the light, colors, forms and events. Human is a part of nature. Only one of many species on the planet Earth. Even the church, pets, road, are therefore in the broadest sense a part of nature.
About the book Samo narava / Only nature: "After twenty years of service at the National Institute of Biology and years of intensive work in the field of ecology, Nature is probably perceived differently than to the average Earthen. Certainly very different than I initially saw it in the beginning. Faith, this is something unique, invaluable, has at the same time only increase. The texts I wrote down as a sort of advertisement for Nature, in order to warn that its values can not be measured in money, but in the end we are totally dependent on them. "
Publishing house Modrijan will during the exhibition, between 10th of March and 10th of April 2010, in the Sečovlje Salina Nature Park shop offer discount sale of 20% on book.
